tableware, flatware, and drinkware from SFMOMA’s esteemed
Architecture + Design collection, spanning nearly a century. The
exhibition celebrates how these objects shape our relationship
with food, our bodies, and the communities we build around
         the act of dining.
From self-filling wine glasses and teapots crafted entirely of
tea, to sleek modernist spoons and repurposed flatware made
from discarded CDs, the exhibition examines dining as both
performance and cultural expression. Featuring visionary works
by Virgil Abloh, Joe Colombo, Zaha Hadid, Roberto Lugo, and
others, Table Manners also highlights the evocative illustrations
and textiles of Lucy Stark, offering a fresh perspective on how
design influences the communal experience of sharing a meal.
