My work is special like any other artist's work of course. I'm autodidact because I've never followed art academy. Everything that's coming up in my head I paint it and I use for this oilpainting on canvas. I like to paint personages, animals and flowers. With my brush I can make relief and it's just like I did it with a knife. I've never learned that technique. The colours predominate on all my paintings. I use heavy colours that jumps in the eye. Painting is my life and my paintings are my treasures. I cannot live without them and without making them. I put all my feelings and moods in it. It's my way to express myself. I am crazy about flowers and settings since I'd been a little girl. That's what pushed me to make Le vase de cattleyas and many other artworks. I made La cascade for my husband. He wanted a little waterfall with three ducks. Actually he was joking but I have nevertheless made it. Water and trees represent for me life. To make such paintings makes me live. I didn't use any model of photo to make this painting. La fille et la fleur remembers my childhood. I was always in love with the flowers. I've never stolen anything from my mother but I decorated my class in school with her most beautiful flowers. I'm lucky that I grew up in a farm with lots of animals, flowers and trees.
